Our story

When my wife Tara Scougall lost her 11-month battle with cancer, aged just 43, our family wanted to make sure that something positive came out of her death.

At her funeral in Houghton, we decided to raise cash for a cause which meant so much to her.

Now with my children, Eleanor, nine, and Edward, eight, and friends of Tara we want to raise enough cash to buy a lifeboat for the RNLI.

Over the course of the next year we aim to reach our target of raising £214,000 for an RNLI Inshore Atlantic class lifeboat.

All money raised through RNLI’s Give as you Live supporters will be used to go to this great cause.

Help us reach this milestone by joining Give as you Live and raise free donations when you shop online.

Sue Daley's English Channel Swim

In July 2016 I will be attempting to reach France by swimming solo across the English Channel. As many of you know I have attempted this swim before as part of a relay team but unfortunately didn’t make it. I therefore have unfinished business with the busiest shipping land in the world.
